Connecticut defines family engagement as full, equal, and equitable partnerships between families, schools, and community partners. This means parents are seen as welcome partners and their voices are heard. Connecticut has established this definition and framework to encourage collaboration. This makes it easier for all parties to understand what is expected of them and thus elevate students’ success.
